I found myself confused a lot in the class about what was expected of assignments and so forth. I felt the assignments should have been explained more definitely, clearly, and timely. For me, the lab didn't really connect with the lecture the way i expected it to, which made the class harder for me. I also wish we could've spent more time on final cut pro and learned how to use it proficiently. I feel it would've been a lot more beneficial to our final videos, as well as film and media majors in general. I think the idea of introducing programs like photoshop and final cut pro can be beneficial to students, but should be taught more extensively and allow the students to explore more since they are such complex programs. I liked that we were given time during the lab to take pictures and film for class assignments. It was convenient and a good way to explore photography and filmaking outside of the classroom with classmates. I also enjoyed the museum of the moving image. Even though I attended by myself outside of the class, I felt it was a very informative and interesting museum and went well with the class. Overall, I felt this class had the potential to be an enriching experience, but was unorganized which made it harder to learn and stressful.
